Kathy: "Mr. LaForce, where do you get your shirts and ties? Do they come together?"
Doug: "Yes, they come as ONE!"
Kathy: "But is it attached? How do you get it off?"
Mr. LaForce: "That's the last straw, Katherine. I am NOT going to take my shirt off in class!"
YOU KNOW YOU'RE EMILYYOUSAY WHEN...

[During a 'Twenty Questions' country identification game]
Leah: "Is it colder?"
Jay: "Than what?"
Mr. Zottoli: "She already asked the question. She can't change it. That counts as one of your twenty questions."
Jay: "Some team captain she makes!"
The Fandom Secrets Meme
Guess mine!
I don't actually read
fandomsecrets (and I usually don't do these kinds of memes either, ha), but this looked hilarious. :(

Okay, so you know how I go on about how Safari is my favorite browser and how I've always found Firefox kind of meh? Disregard that; I'm kind of using Firefox exclusively now (at least for LJ stuff) because of LJLogin. Which is amazing. I wish I had bothered to try it out sooner, it would have saved me SO much trouble.
... I have three memes; this is definitely not a waste of my time. I was tagged to do these forever ago by
fire_lord_azula (who gave me Ty Lee) and
parcus (who gave me Azula). OF COURSE I'm just getting around to it now.
( OMFG IT'S TY LEE )
( OMFG IT'S AZULA )

HEY REBECCA, I HEARD YOUR FIRE NATION FRISBEE GOT STOLEN OUT OF YOUR LOCKER. :(

Sooooo, what's happened since I last updated? I was semi stalked a few weeks ago by someone who wanted access to my friends-only entries so that they could study me and work up a personality profile. Yes, seriously. I don't even know. (Obviously, I didn't let them in.)
One good thing about college (eh, there's more than one good thing, but this is one of the best): we have over a month off for winter break. I KNOW. Classes end on the twelfth, exams start on the fifteenth and I only have like two, and then the second semester doesn't start until January 18th. It's kind of epic, actually.
Aaaaaand my sister's birthday is... tomorrow, I guess? She's having a party over the weekend and I'm tagging along (... what, we've always gone to each other's birthday parties) because Mom's taking everyone to Rollerskate Newington. I OBVIOUSLY CAN'T MISS THAT.
... Speaking of Jenny, she's probably going to get her license before I do. LOL WHAT.
( And because I've seen it passed around a bit...! )

Dear Marzey-Marzey,
I don't really know how to tell you this, but you're a pervert. I think I realized it when I threw up outside of Chicago and I saw you carve your initials into my penpal in Ghana. I'm sure you're scarred enough to understand that Santa doesn't exist. I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep my virginity as a memory. You should also know that I told my psychiatrist about your Oprah Winfrey imitations.
Fuck off now,
Iddy
( :( )
JK JK I LOVE YOU. <3

So today in band while we were hanging around playing hangman on the whiteboard (before Mr. LaForce came over and took the marker away so he could put us to work sorting out the storage rooms, that is), Ayra came up to me and was all, "Guess what? I know your secret! You like Avatar! Me too!"
...
:D
Now I'm starting to wonder if there's like some secret coalition of people who are secretly into this show. It's crazy; it's just like last year and the year before when I discovered all those people who were into MST3K (Alex Fried? Trevor and Megan? Mr. LaForce?). Maybe there are also secret!fanbases for other things I like (Ha, Mrs. Y does like XF)? Seriously, if I found even one person to talk about TWW with (heh, other than Mrs. Raiford, that is) I would freak. I'm seriously the biggest dork ever. XD
SO CONTINUING ON THAT DORKINESS, I HAVE FRIENDING MEMES. I know, I know, but I freaking love these things- they're so hilarious and fun. And I realize that I'm completely defeating their entire purpose by posting them in a flocked journal, but... yeah. I like filling crap out; leave me alone. :P I just wish I could find more than just these three... and meh, I know no one on my flist is into most of these fandoms, but that's okay. I'd probably still be filling them out even if my journal was still completely private, because I'm just that lame.
( The West Wing! )
( The X-Files! )

... I'm off to find more of these things. Fear me.

Marzey-dork tagged me, ZOMG.
A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it".
1. I love sitting sideways on the school bus seat and looking out the back window. In fact, I just love riding the school bus in general. Even if I could drive I'd still take it every day, and not just to save gas.
2. I tend to like people that everyone else hates- in school/life, in history, in fiction (whether they're hated by the fandom, by the other people in the book/movie/show, or both), etc.
3. I can wink my left eye, but not my right one. I can roll my tongue, but not very well. A couple of weeks ago, I finally figured out how to raise one eyebrow and not the other, and I was way too excited about this fact. (I'm also a bit jealous of the boys in my English class who can puff out their cheeks and beat out the "William Tell Overture" in the correct tune- this goes a lot towards proving my theory that certain parts of my brain have not matured much past the age of five.)
4. I love organizing things, collecting things, memorizing things, and making lists. I especially love collecting things, then organizing them and making lists about them to memorize.
5. I become obsessed with things (concepts, areas of study, activities, books/movies/television shows, fictional characters, etc.) very easily. Very, very easily. (Though if you want to debate semantics, I don't technically obsess- that is, I am very able to focus my mind on other things when I wish, and it never impedes on my life. But I'll still think about it rather a lot. :-P)
6. I am extremely nostalgic, and sometimes (not too often, though) I feel like it gets in the way of actually living my life.
7. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as a person who is 'pure evil', no matter how awful their actions may be. (And I want to work with sociopaths when I grow up :-P)
