I am going to hole myself up in my room and marathon the fifth season of House (it just came out on DVD today; my sister's doing the same thing with Scrubs). This is definitely the best way to spend my last few days of summer break.
Also, I blame Setine for the fact that I've sort of developed a mini-girlcrush on Cuddy. :|

So I've watched the entire first season of Scrubs in... five days. I have no life.
It really is such a cute show, though. I prefer House as far as medical dramas go, buuuuuut. OH AND SPEAKING OF HOUSE-- the fifth season isn't coming out on DVD until late August. I don't want to wait that long; I like instant gratification!
... But now I have to go steal the second season of Scrubs from the TV room. And figure out the name of the actress who plays that patient that Elliot BFFs around with, so that I can find out WHY HER VOICE SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR.

... Required science classes, that is. I took my Biology of Aging in-class final today-- no more walking to New Hampshire Hall at 7:30AM anymore! And I did the oral part of my Spanish final yesterday; it wasn't as bad as I had thought it was going to be, so that's good. Now I just have... three, I guess? And ughhhhh I still have so much reading to do for history; I have to finish three books. That's what I'm doing right now well, that and tagging at DramaDramaDuck and ignoring Discedo, VE, and
fire_lord_azula because there's an epic plot going on at DDD right now-- SORRY DX.

... Someday I'm actually going to update this thing more. And start checking other people's LJs. And start foruming again. And log onto MSN. And, y'know, all those other things that actually involve *communicating* with people. Aaaaaargh.

( SPOILERS FOR HOUSE FINALE ZOMGZOMG )
As for the insanity part of this little charade, I was all hopped up on Tums and cranberry juice, so naturally I was running around downstairs doing kung-fu-like moves all over the place. And I almost killed myself a couple of times because floor + riding socks = slippery.
Now. MUSIC. I'm normally not one to obsess over singers/bands, but I am thoroughly convinced that Bird York is the best female singer since, like... ever. And I'm totally not just saying that because she played Andy on The West Wing, oh no. I first heard one of her songs ("In the Deep") on House (S2, "Autopsy", the very end)- House always has brilliant music- and since then I've been obsessing over downloading more. "Wicked Little High" is the BEST EVER, and "Have No Fear" is amazing, as well, even though I can't understand half of what she's saying unless I've looked at the lyrics before hand. But seriously, ALL OF IT is BEYOND AWESOME and writing this entry is making me want to DOWNLOAD MORE TO LISTEN TO ON THE BUS TOMORROW.
Second best female singer since, like, ever: Grey (Gray, maybe?... I'm too lazy to look it up) DeLisle. Her voice just radiates amazingness all around, and her cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" will never stop being awesome (I DON'T CARE what you say, Annika :P). (Speaking of "Bohemian Rhapsody", I really have got to download the full Queen original ASAP. A song about a murderer? Why, yes plz.)
Also, I might add that quite a few of her (DeLisle's) songs have to do with death/imprisonment/etc. I don't understand; is she trying to mess with my mind?
(PS HOUSE.)

So I finally get around to checking the
...
Oh, babb, why do you do this to me?
In other news... WE HAVE A DATE FOR HOUSE. WHOO. But it's not for more than a month, which is extremely awful. And Sonja and her broken wrist still have my DVDs, so if I ever get it into my head that I need a House-fix (not that I've been watching much TV at all lately, but you know), I won't be able to remedy it. MEH.
I don't know, I'm still a bit undecided about this season. I mean, I don't hate it or anything (if I did, I wouldn't care nearly as much about it coming back on...), but it's still probably my least favorite season. Ah, well... I liked S3 better the third time around, so maybe this one will be the same.

I watched a fair bit of House this weekend. We went to the beach, Jenny invited Sonja, and as soon as Pex saw that I had brought S1 along, she was all, "ZOMG. Must. Watch. NOW." So they watched, like, the entire first disk. I'm not sure if Jenny actually liked it, or if she was just indulging Sonja. She did say that House himself was "pretty awesome". And she laughed at the funny bits. Hee.
Ah, for season one. It's probably my favorite season. Before it went all Grey's on us (please note that I have never seen Grey's Anatomy, but since I am loyal to House, I feel it is my duty to make fun of it as much as possible) and had Cameron kissing House and Chase, Cameron sleeping with House, Wilson possibly sleeping with Cuddy, and House sleeping with Wilson (c'mon, you know they did it, if only for experimentation's sake). And before Tritter, and the whole, "He's on drugs! Noooo, he's clean! No wait, he's on drugs! Okay, he was on drugs, but now he's clean. Haha! Tricked you! He was on drugs the whole time, and you totally never saw this plotpoint coming from a mile away!" thing with House and his Vicodin. Season one. Where Chase hated fat people, Foreman hated homeless people, and Cameron loved everybody indiscriminantly. Those were the good old days...

House Season 2 comes out in two days! w00tw00t! And Season 3 starts... the 5th, I think (that would be of September, dahlings). Huzzah.
I was watching "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas" last night (which, compared to many of the later episodes (like "Rain King". Blech) is actually fairly decent. Plus, it guest-starsDebbie Fiderer Lily Tomlin. Scully, however, is still her post-Emily, more sarcastic, less cool self. Some people (read: House) are awesome when they are sarcastic... Scully, however, just comes off as a jerk.
I do wonder what Mulder and Scully gave each other at the end, when they were exchanging gifts. Mulder's present from Scully was just a regular old square shape, so it could have been any number of things (I bet it was a book. Scully would TOTALLY give him a book), but Scully's was long and cylindrical. My best guess is that it was a salami, though I suppose it could have been a dildo or something.
